Dr. Abigail Schmidt, DDS, MS, is one of only three board-certified facial pain and sleep specialists in Michigan, residency-trained at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, with award-winning research in dental sleep medicine.
You receive timely consultation reports, a clear treatment plan, and ongoing communication throughout care.
When to refer
- Persistent face, jaw, head, or neck pain unresolved by general dental or medical care
- Suspected TMD, atypical facial pain, neuropathic pain, or trigeminal neuralgia
- Sleep apnea patients who cannot tolerate CPAP
- Tinnitus with a suspected TMJ or muscular component
- Headaches with jaw involvement
